Before blades and indoor rinks, Indonesians learned hockey on wheels — inline hockey is where it all started.
Where it all started
In the 1990s, long before ice rinks, inline hockey built Indonesia’s first clubs, rivalries and community culture — the backbone that later supported the rise of ice hockey.
Many of today’s players, coaches and officials began on inline skates. Their dedication turned a niche pastime into a genuine national sporting movement, and inline hockey remains a vital part of FHEI’s mission.
Getting started
FHEI partners with Ignites Hockey Academy in Bintaro, focused on youth inline-hockey development for players of all skill levels — from first-timers taking their first strides to aspiring competitors.
